The Final Round of the Japanese Speech Contest ended with inspiring performances that touched everyone in the audience. Our finalists’ hard work and dedication were clearly visible on stage. Congratulations to all finalists, and special applause for our winners — you made us proud.
We were honored to have Professor Dr. Sayema Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration), University of Dhaka, grace the event as the Chief Guest. Kazi Bushra Ahmed Tithi, Public Relations and Cultural Specialist, Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh; Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun, Associate Professor and Chair of the Provost Committee, University of Dhaka; and Dr. Taiabur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Dhaka, present as Special Guests of the event. The Grand Finale Event Chaired by the Department Chairperson and the club moderator, Dr. Lopamudra Malek.
On that occasion, faculty members Dr. Md Jahangir Alam, Mr. Wasik Sajid Khan, Ms. Farida Yeasmin Banna, Ms. Sabrina Zahir, Ms. Ali Israt Jebun Tithi, and DJS Japanese Language club instructor, Kuniaki Okabayashi were also present.
