DJS Social Impact Club
/The Department of Japanese Studies Social Impact Club (DJSSIC) was established on 26 August 2024 with a vision rooted in five UN Sustainable Development Goals: Good Health & Well-Being, Gender Equality, Reduced Inequalities, Climate Action, and Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions.
From the very beginning of its journey, DJSSIC has stepped forward in moments of national urgency. The club actively took part in the 2024 Flood Relief initiatives and contributed to campus restoration efforts, including cleaning and graffiti art, following the July Revolution. Alongside these efforts, DJSSIC organized a range of workshops, webinars, and seminars, including programs on mental health, skill development, and gender equality.
Strengthening its outreach, DJSSIC has partnered with several organizations. It signed an MoU with Farhana’s Brainstorm, collaborated with YSSE’s internship program, and built relationships with other national platforms. The club also joined the Global Climate Strike and served as a partner organization in LCOY Bangladesh 2025.
Committed to empowering youth and advancing sustainable development, DJSSIC aims to continue expanding its initiatives and driving meaningful social impact.
