He’s been a true friend of Bangladesh. His joint statement with his Bangladeshi counterpart, Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in 2014 contains the contribution and prospect of the then Japan Study Centre, now Department of Japanese Studies towards strengthening Japan-Bangladesh relation.
