The Four years BSS course in Japanese Studies – is divided into eight semesters. In the first two semesters one has to take the entire compulsory courses. From the third semester, he/she has to take entire compulsory courses along with some optional course(s). In the final semester all students shall pass through the competitive examination, viva voce and writing of a thesis in lieu of one taught course from optional part.
The courses- from 101 to 805- have been worked out considering the most up-to-date state-of-the-art curriculum drawn from the citadel of learning about Japanese Studies, globally. Each course has two broad parts (see all course outline), normally, (1) the course outline with broad topics and sub-topics, and (2) substantive reading list (the Reading is arranged using Harvard style referencing system).
